To get on the road to obtain the best ending at the beginning first check your opinion leader’s Alignment (ALI). If it’s really high say 90s you should be fine for the game. Wait for a few maps to use him if at all so the enemies are at a higher level by at least 2 or 3 levels. Being a bully and killing weaker enemies will lower alignment. If a character kills an enemy with higher ALI than they have it will lower it too. Extremely high alignment is needed to have many events take place throughout the game. Using Tarot Cards in battle will level up your leader, keep an eye on that as well. Have your main goal the first few stages be to raise your Amazons to Clerics if you don’t have at least five or six near the start. They are vital to the destruction of the undead like in Pogrom Forest. To liberate towns with good effects make sure the liberating unit matches the city's ALI. The heart on the city status menu will say LOW, MED or HI. Without having an exact number myself, try to get 10-35 for LOW, 40-60 for MED and 65+ for HIGH. The easiest solution to this is to have one character in that unit only and use them solely as a liberation unit. Agility (AGI) helps you dodge attacks and increases your to hit rate making your attacks connect more often. Strength (STR) increases the damage your physical attacks will inflict and Intelligence (INT) increases the magic power of spells and healing. Charisma (CHA) increases the chances of recruiting neutral characters. Alignment (ALI) not only effects the outcome of some events but also determines whether the character can fight better during the nighttime or daytime. Evolving a character to the next class can be frustrating sometimes thanks to the stat known as ALI. Knights require high alignment to change to Paladin while Wizards require low alignment to become Mages. As mentioned before if you need to lower a character’s ALI take him out against weaker enemies and kill clerics when they get a chance. Take a couple of weaker units against some higher enemies to raise, just take them out of battle for a few stages and they will begin to fall behind. In order for alignment to change at all an enemy character must die. Simply attacking doesn’t do it. If you have a Princess character always make her the leader because all other characters in the unit will get an extra attack. If you receive a Trade Ticket from an enemy’s corpse make sure you have a lot of money. Normal procedure is to get Opinion Leader enough Lucky Charms to max his LUK. Then buy about 30 Tome of Learning, 30 Speed Potion and 30 Strength. Take your units into battle find their weak points (If they miss a lot give them some Speed, etc.) and use them on an individual basis. Make a few saves on your memory card, one before you start the battle, one during battle before you make decisions, one after the battle. This way if you didn’t realize you needed to do something before the battle was over or you get to an event that needs to be done before you completed the stage and for some reason it doesn’t occur, you have plenty of back ups. (e.g. biggest screw up point is not being able to help Posha in Diaspola before winning the stage. Opinion leader’s stats make this happen. With stage data before you can skip the stage and do others to raise stats and then come back later.) |
