| Why? Why, oh why? Why does this game have to suck as much as it does? I was really looking forward to this game, making it one of the huge reasons I was looking forward to buying a PS3. Factor 5 is a brilliant company, responsible for the Rogue Squadron games on Nintendo 64 and Gamecube. Now we're adding motion control dragons with amazing graphics!? How could it suck? Two things kill it. Controls and mission objectives. First, controls. The dragon motion control lags. You would be better off instructing a two year old on how to control an X-Wing while sitting right at their side rather than trying to control that flying fortress with motion control. I'm not sure that just the motion controls are what is at fault here though. Targeting sites are far too short to hone in on targets, if you can even tell what your targets are. The almost really cool cinematic scenes where you |

jump to the other dragon and stab the rider and the dragon in the eye have control schemes that make no sense. "Shake up and down," it says. "Press R1," it says. "Move the stick around." It doesn't make sense with what the character is doing and therefore feels completely unheroic. The mission objectives amount to "Hey! Some guys are coming!" and "Hey! Some more guys are coming!" I will however, give credit where credit is due. The tower of lights early in the game was kind of neat, having to fly in the mouths. But come on! You're on a dragon! Why would cool objectives be hard to come up with? I'll be honest. I'm glad I only borrowed this game. I had it on my list of games to pick up for PS3 and it is no longer on there. I was going to borrow it until I finished it. You can see some of the crap I've finished. I almost never write reviews without completion. I couldn't do it. I got so fed up with poor controls and boring gameplay that I had to turn it off. |

| Does it look good? Yes. Beautiful. I'm not 100% into the dragon design, but what is there looks great. The thousands of units on the battlefield look great. Textures, lighting, everything! But man cannot play on graphics alone. | |

Aircraft/Weapons - Not really any choices. Dialogue/Voice Acting - Competent voice talent. Enemies - Maybe I just didn't see enough of the game? Fun - Not. Goals - Maybe I just didn't see enough? Graphics - Beautiful. Level Design -
Meh. Play Control - Control? Play? Sound - No complaints here either. Story - Seemed to be developing nicely. |
