Bethesda

Well, my good friend Samantha who is now doing publicity in Los Angeles for some notables, got the chance to go to the Fallout 3 launch party last night. Non-gamers that get into these things always make me feel jealous, but hey, I’m the one in St. Joseph, Missouri, so I suppose it’s my fault. I’m the one here doing a completely unrelated job right now to fund the career change, and not the one acting as Courtney Cox’s publicist.

Anyway, I was joking around when she told me she met the CEO for Bethesda that she should get me a job. Then she texts me today saying she dropped my name! I couldn’t believe it. She game them this web address too, which hasn’t been updated in so long thanks to all the time spent working on my own game development, buying a house, and… yes… World of Warcraft. It’s in no way résumé ready, but I guess this is all I have. I have no development notes or recent activity logged here, but I guess I had better start.

So, Bethesda, if you’re looking, take a peek at the hardcore Morrowind (quite possibly the best game ever made) quest walkthrough I wrote and the review I wrote in college. Working for Bethesda would be a dream come true, so if you need a content writer, artist, beginning level programmer, intern, bookkeeper, whatever, have your people call my people.

Love you, Sam!

Welcome!

Welcome to the newly designed Umbra Games! I’m hoping running the homepage as a blog will help me update the site more often. I will more than likely begin writing Reviews this way, but have kept links to the old review page open.

For those of you I haven’t talked to lately, I have decided I WILL be a game designer. It is my destiny from which I have run for so long. It’s a difficult road ahead, but I have no fear.
